DIY Mid Century Modern Clock!
If you love thrift flips, DIY home decor, and mid-century modern design, this project has it all. I was walking through the thrift store when I spotted a skinny wooden serving platter. The shape, the color—it just screamed mid-century modern. Then I found a little blue alarm clock with these gorgeous chrome hands, and suddenly I thought: what if I made a clock? In this video, I take you through the full DIY thrift flip process of turning these two $5 finds into a one-of-a-kind mid-century modern inspired wall clock for my kitchen. From taking apart the clock, to problem-solving when the mechanism didn’t fit, to carefully sanding and hacking the chrome hands to make it work—this project was full of surprises. You’ll see the ups, the downs, and the final transformation that went from “this might not work at all” to “I can’t believe it worked this well.”
